Why get a license
You must obtain a permit before carrying out your work to ensure that your project complies with municipal regulations but also because there are standards to respect to ensure a certain urban harmony.
The employees of the urban planning department will ensure that your work meets the City's standards in terms of zoning, architecture, construction quality and environmental protection. They will also explain the documents required to complete your permit application.
Starting a project without a permit exposes you to the possibility of receiving a violation notice. To avoid this unfortunate situation, we invite citizens to send their permit application by email.
To submit a request for a certificate of authorization or to ask questions, contact the Citizen's Office, either to make an appointment with a building inspector or by calling 450-589-5671, extension 1. Fax: 450 -589-4512.
